4/22/2014 - The US Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on the proposed Tylerhorse Wind Project, a 40 turbine, 60 mw facility planned for 1,200 acres in Kern Country, CA. Electrical power from the project would connect to a substation located on the Manzana Wind Energy Project then interconnect with Southern California Edison’s Whirlwind Substation.
4/22/2014 - The 345 kw Whalley Community Hydropower project has secured enough money to start construction on the River Calder in the UK.
4/22/2014 - Enfinity Philippines Renewable Resources, Inc. will proceed with the 10 mw solar power project in Davao del Sur, Philippines. The project is expected to go live in October 2014.
4/22/2014 - Southern Power and Turner Renewable Energy acquired the 20 mw Adobe Solar Facility in Kern County, California. The generated electricity will be sold under a 20 year ppa to Southern California Edison.
4/22/2014 - The US Department of Defense will break ground Friday on the 18 mw solar power plant at Fort Huachuca that will be built by E.ON power and owned and maintained by Tucson Electric Power.
4/22/2014 - Boralex Europe S.A. has obtained financing for the Fortel-Bonnières and Saint-François wind farms with a total capacity of 46 mw and 16 GE 2.85 mw turbines. Construction is underway and expected to be complete by early 2015.

4/18/2014 - Metro Power Company Limited executed financing documents for the 50 mw, 20 turbine wind project o be located in Sindh Province, Pakistan and complete by 2015. The power sill be sold under terms of a 20 year ppa to the National Transmission and Despatch Company.
4/18/2014 - juwi solar Inc. will develop, design and construct the 10 mw Rockfish Solar facility in Charles County, Maryland. Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative will purchase the energy under a 20 year ppa when it is complete in 2014.
4/18/2014 - Phoenix Energy will build and operate a 2.0 mw biomass gasification plant near Lake Tahoe, California using forest biomass.
4/18/2014 - Canadian Solar Inc. completed the 152 kw rooftop solar - diesel hybrid PV system on the Deer Lake First Nation Elementary School in Ontario, Canada.
4/16/2014 - Samsung Renewable Energy, Inc. and Pattern Energy Group Inc. announced its 270 mw, 124 Siemens turbine South Kent Wind project is operational. Ontario Power Authority is purchasing the energy under term of a 20 year ppa.
4/16/2014 - OpenHydro and Alderney Renewable Energy doing business under the joint venture, Race Tidal, will develop a 150 turbine, 300 mw tidal array in the English Channel, off the island of Alderney which is expected to be complete by 2020.
4/16/2014 - Malaysia Development Bhd signed a 25 year ppa with Tenaga Nasional Bhd to purchase power from the 50 mw solar plant in Kedah, Malaysia.
4/16/2014 - GE’s Distributed Power has provided three 1.4 gas engines for the 4.2 mw waste to energy project in Estre Ambiental's landfill in Guatapara City, São Paulo, Brazil that begins commercial operations in May.
4/16/2014 - Minnesota Power is seeking regulatory approval to build the 500 kv Great Northern Transmission Line from the Minnesota-Manitoba border to the Mesabi Iron Range. This line will be used for the delivery of 750 mw of energy into the US beginning in 2020 including 250 mw from Manitoba Hydro through a ppa with Minnesota Power.
4/16/2014 - Solaire Generation announced that the 253 kw Long Span 360 solar carport system is operational at the Danversport Yacht Club, in Massachusetts.
4/14/2014 - Apple has acquired a 3.5 hydroelectric project in Oregon to partially source energy for its new data center in Prineville, Oregon. The data center also uses wind energy.
4/14/2014 - First Wind and Hawaiian Electric Company requested approval from the Hawai‘i Public Utilities Commission for a 20 year PPA from the planned 20 mw Mililani, O'ahu solar facility.
4/14/2014 - Kyocera Corporation installed a 230 kw Solar Cycle Station for electric vehicles at the headquarters of Shintec Hozumi Co., Ltd. in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. This system can charge electric vehicles and can direct vehicle battery power to the building.
4/14/2014 - A United Nations report suggests that serious consequences of climate change can be averted if quick and aggressive action is taken to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions.
4/11/2014 - The 4.51 mw solar project at Goonhilly, Cornwall, UK is operational. Juwi Renewable Energies completed construction and a 10 year maintenance contract is in place.
4/11/2014 - The US National Park Service is seeking public comment on the proposed renewable energy and energy efficiency project at the Lamar Buffalo Ranch in Wyoming, near the entrance to Yellowstone. The project will include replacing and expanding solar systems and implementing a new micro hydro turbine.
4/11/2014 - Ameren received regulatory approval to proceed with engineering and procurement for the proposed 5.7 mw O’Fallon Renewable Energy Center near St. Louis, Missouri.
4/11/2014 - Ikea purchased the Hoopeston Wind project in Illinois what is under construction by Apex Clean Energy and expected to be operational in 2015.
4/11/2014 - Standard Solar has completed the construction of the 800 kw Delaware Technical Community College solar installation.
4/9/2014 - Blue Earth, Inc. agreed to sell the 500 kw Waianae solar facility in Oahu, Hawaii to Kenyon Energy.
4/9/2014 - US Geothermal will acquire Ram Power Corp.'s Geysers project located in Sonoma County, Calif for $6,400,000 USD. The sale includes all geothermal leases on 3809 acres, development design plans, and permits for a proposed 26 mw power plant.

4/9/2014 - Carnegie Wave Energy has three large buoys, buoyant actuators, that will be placed into service in the Indian Ocean near Garden Island, which will feed energy into the Australian grid later this year.
4/9/2014 - Hanwha Q CELLS, has completed the 10.85 mw Maywood Solar Farm. This project in Indianapolis, Indiana is constructed on an active EPA Superfund site and received no US federal funding.
4/9/2014 - Ameresco, Inc. has purchased 21,000 tons of storm damaged timber from the February 2014 ice storm to use at its biomass cogeneration facility located at the US Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina.
4/7/2014 - Constellation started construction of the 978 kw solar generation project in Palmdale, Calif. 3200 solar panels will be installed at Palmdale’s Civic Center, DryTown Water Park and Marie Kerr Park. The energy will be sold under terms of a 20 year ppa with the city of Palmdale when the project is complete during the summer of 2014.
