4/14/2014 - Apple has acquired a 3.5 hydroelectric project in Oregon to partially source energy for its new data center in Prineville, Oregon. The data center also uses wind energy.
4/14/2014 - First Wind and Hawaiian Electric Company requested approval from the Hawai‘i Public Utilities Commission for a 20 year PPA from the planned 20 mw Mililani, O'ahu solar facility.
4/14/2014 - Kyocera Corporation installed a 230 kw Solar Cycle Station for electric vehicles at the headquarters of Shintec Hozumi Co., Ltd. in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. This system can charge electric vehicles and can direct vehicle battery power to the building.
4/14/2014 - A United Nations report suggests that serious consequences of climate change can be averted if quick and aggressive action is taken to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions.
4/11/2014 - The 4.51 mw solar project at Goonhilly, Cornwall, UK is operational. Juwi Renewable Energies completed construction and a 10 year maintenance contract is in place.
4/11/2014 - The US National Park Service is seeking public comment on the proposed renewable energy and energy efficiency project at the Lamar Buffalo Ranch in Wyoming, near the entrance to Yellowstone. The project will include replacing and expanding solar systems and implementing a new micro hydro turbine.
4/11/2014 - Ameren received regulatory approval to proceed with engineering and procurement for the proposed 5.7 mw O’Fallon Renewable Energy Center near St. Louis, Missouri.
4/11/2014 - Ikea purchased the Hoopeston Wind project in Illinois what is under construction by Apex Clean Energy and expected to be operational in 2015.
4/11/2014 - Standard Solar has completed the construction of the 800 kw Delaware Technical Community College solar installation.
4/9/2014 - Blue Earth, Inc. agreed to sell the 500 kw Waianae solar facility in Oahu, Hawaii to Kenyon Energy.
4/9/2014 - US Geothermal will acquire Ram Power Corp.'s Geysers project located in Sonoma County, Calif for $6,400,000 USD. The sale includes all geothermal leases on 3809 acres, development design plans, and permits for a proposed 26 mw power plant.

4/9/2014 - Carnegie Wave Energy has three large buoys, buoyant actuators, that will be placed into service in the Indian Ocean near Garden Island, which will feed energy into the Australian grid later this year.
4/9/2014 - Hanwha Q CELLS, has completed the 10.85 mw Maywood Solar Farm. This project in Indianapolis, Indiana is constructed on an active EPA Superfund site and received no US federal funding.
4/9/2014 - Ameresco, Inc. has purchased 21,000 tons of storm damaged timber from the February 2014 ice storm to use at its biomass cogeneration facility located at the US Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina.
4/7/2014 - Constellation started construction of the 978 kw solar generation project in Palmdale, Calif. 3200 solar panels will be installed at Palmdale’s Civic Center, DryTown Water Park and Marie Kerr Park. The energy will be sold under terms of a 20 year ppa with the city of Palmdale when the project is complete during the summer of 2014.
4/7/2014 - WindMW GmbH, a joint-venture of Blackstone Energy Partners, and Windland Energieerzeugungs GmbH,completed the 288 mw Meerwind Süd Ost offshore wind farm located in the German North Sea.
4/4/2014 - AES is planning to build a 100 MW energy storage plant in Northern Ireland in order to store excess wind-generated energy and release it during peak demand periods.
